Workshop 1: Understanding the Challenges and Opportunities

Brussels – June 15, 2017

On June 15th, stakeholders from across the non-energy extractive industry (NEEI) in both Canada and the EU attended the first workshop of the EU-Canada Mineral Investment Facility (EU-Canada MIF) Feasibility Study. The workshop represented the first opportunity for the project to bring stakeholders together and gauge both their interest in and support for a potential EU-Canada MIF. The overall sentiment of workshop participants was that there was a strong need for such an investment platform if further integration and growth is to take place between the two markets.
